List of repressed people

Uprising of 1924 - This list contains data of people born in the city of Gori and the surrounding district, who were tried after the 1924 uprising against the Soviet occupation, which was the largest protest of its kind in Georgia. The uprising was aimed at restoring the national independence of Georgia, which had been taken away three years earlier, and involved both the opponents of the Bolshevik regime on the ground, as well as the political and public figures of the First Republic who fled Georgia in 1921. The Independence Committee of Georgia was created with the idea of launching a rebellion.
