Honored Artist and Actor - Vasil Kakhniashvili was born in 1910 in Gori. He studied at the four-year city school of Gori (1918), then at the first labor school of Gori. He continued his studies at K. Marjanishvili State Drama Studio on a scholarship. In 1939 he started his work at Gori Theater where he staged his own play "Bednierebis Bileti” [Ticket for Happiness] and Aleksandre Kazbegi's "Khevisberi Gocha." During his 50 years of working in the theater, he performed over 300 roles including in some very famous plays.
