Vakhtang Eliozishvili

Doctor, Public Figure, and Amateur Artist - Vakhtang Eliozishvili was born in 1909 in Gori. In 1933, he was the Governor of the Medical Center in the village of Garejvari, after which Eliozishvili served as a senior scientific employee of the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology of the Clinical and Experimental Cardiology Institute (named after M. Tsinamdzgvrishvili). He published more than 60 scientific works and three monographs. In 1958, upon its request, one of his monographs was sent to the Washington Library. The monograph described all existing methods of inducing experimental hypertension. In 1959, one of his scientific works was printed in Rome. Elsewhere, under his leadership, the 12th century Trinity Church was restored in the village of Bershueti. He also wrote memoirs, including episodes of the lives of his ancestors, historical and documentary materials, photographs, and a family coats of arms.
