Public Figure, Publicist, and Philanthropist - Niko Diasamidze was born in 1845 in Gori district. In 1877, together with Agalo Tutaev, he rebuilt the old rotunda in Gori at his own expense and established a theater there. He also had salons in his own houses in Tbilisi and the villages of Sakasheti and Bril , where he held literary meetings (known as "Mondays") and theater performances.
In the 1880s, Diasamidze himself, who lived in Gori on the main street (today Samepo Street), gave his house to the city, particularly to stage enthusiasts . In 1892, in the village of Brill , then in Gori district (now part of Khashuri municipality), in his house, the founding meeting of “Kvali” newspaper was held. In addition, Diasamidze published journalistic letters on social and educational issues in "Droeba" newspaper.
