Actor - Shalva Kerkheulidze was born in 1908 in Baku, and became engaged in professional stage work in his mid-20s in 1933. He worked in the state theatres of different Georgian cities including Poti, Sighnaghi, Khashuri, and Borjomi. Between 1933 and 1940 in particular, he worked in the Georgian Theater of Baku. Later during, he joined the Gori State Theater.
In 1981, he moved into acting and performed at the Tbilisi Film Actors Theater, playing about 250 roles including Soleiman, Otarbegi, Anania (Sumbatashvili's "Treason"), Petruchio (Shakespeare's "The Sorrowful Wife "), and President Hofmarschall (Schiller's "Love and Reluctance ").
Kherkheulidze died in 1993.
